Passage One Project Description

Passage 1: space unfolded
This project involves a linear passage of approximately a four-hour duration starting at a particular point in the city. Before you begin, you must have an overall plan for the passage as well as strategies for observation and documentation. Of course these rules will change once the passage is underway; predetermination and chance will both play a role. In a sense, the beginning and end points are not important; what is of interest is the space between.

The raw data collected during the passage will be interpreted and formatted for presentation. You should think through the format as an exercise in information design: What relationships between text and image, what genre(s) of description, would best tell the story?
