THIS SIDE OF PARADISE
:: BOOKLIST

This Side of Paradise F. Scott Fitzgerald

Ok. Ok. Ok. Honestly, I read this book about 2 months ago. And even more honestly, I don't remember much about it. Ok. So there's this kid (obviously he's rich) and this religious figure (priest I guess), the kid's mom (rich snob who dies), a failed love affair (as usual), and a riches-to-rags story. Ummm. Yeah. Also the guy liked poetry, so there's tons of verse scattered throughout the book, lots of letters too. Well, that's about it. Obviously, this book didn't blow my head off. Definitely a "bad."

But I remember reading it one Friday night when Alex and Kevin barged in drunk. I remember being sad and staying up late to finish the book so I didn't have to go to bed. That's probably why I haven't thought about this book ever again. So, on second thought, I'm putting this one in the "goods" pile. The mediocrity of My Personal Drama shan't interfere with the splendor of someone else's.
